Rajendra Barge । Saswad (Pune) : The renowned Shri Kshetra Bhuleshwar Temple, situated on the Malshiras hill in the eastern part of Purandar taluka, is fully prepared for the upcoming Shravani Yatra. A planning meeting was chaired by Naib Tehsildar Sandeep Patil at the temple premises, attended by key government officials and Malshiras villagers to ensure the smooth and safe execution of the festival.
With the Shravani Yatra running from August 13 to September 7, lakhs of devotees are expected to visit the shrine throughout the month, making pilgrim security and basic amenities a top priority for the administration. During the meeting, former Purandar Panchayat Samiti member Mauli Yadav highlighted key local issues, prompting several vital administrative directives. To prevent traffic congestion near the temple, private vehicles will be stopped outside the Forest Department arch. The concerned authorities were instructed to immediately repair the damaged road from the forest checkpoint to the temple, while the Purandar and Daund Forest Departments were directed to trim overgrown tree branches creating hazards along the Bhuleshwar Ghat road.
Regarding public facilities, the Malshiras Gram Panchayat will supply clean drinking water, and the Malshiras Primary Health Center will provide month-long medical care on-site. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will inspect local sweet shops and food stalls selling prasad, while the Jejuri Police Station will deploy additional force to maintain law and order. Special Mahaprasad arrangements have also been organized for the entire month.
The planning meeting saw the presence of Resident Tehsildar Sandeep Patil, Block Development Officer Avinash Thorat, Jejuri Police Inspector Ravindra Patil, Taluka Medical Officer Dr. Vikram Kame, Saswad Depot Manager Vrushali Tambe, MSEDCL official Jeevan Thombre, Extension Officer Sagar Kamble, Malshiras Sarpanch Aarti Yadav, Deputy Sarpanch Chhaya Yadav, Police Patil Puja Yadav, Medical Officer Dr. Priyanka Salunkhe, Circle Officer S.S. Nimbalkar, Talathi Ramesh Waghmode, and Gram Panchayat Officer Vilas Badhe, along with local villagers.
