Ranchi : Facing sudden uncertainty over their careers, more than 2,000 successful candidates of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) exam marched through the streets of Ranchi from the state secretariat to Birsa Chowk on Tuesday.
The protest comes on the heels of a late-night announcement by the state administration on Monday, which cancelled the recruitment drive altogether. While the government bowed to ongoing student protests demanding accountability for alleged exam irregularities, the decision has left thousands of already appointed candidates caught in the crossfire and staring at the sudden loss of their livelihoods.
