Bhor: “I am a Member of Parliament, but I do not hold any road construction contracts. Everyday, I speak to the Chief Minister regarding the pathetic condition of roads and potholes across the state. The widespread presence of potholes in Maharashtra is the fault of the local government, and they must answer for it,” said MP Supriya Sule, taking a sharp dig at the state administration.
Sule made these remarks while visiting the Shri Baneshwar Temple in Nasrapur, Bhor taluka, where she inaugurated a newly constructed 1-kilometer road stretch between Cheladi Phata and Baneshwar. Key leaders, including MLA Shankar Mandekar, Ravindra Bandal, Ganesh Khutwad, Chandrakant Bathe, Bhalchandra Jagtap, and Ranjit Shivtare, were present on the occasion.
Responding to queries about the dilapidated condition of roads in the rural and remote regions of the Bhor constituency—where locals question whether “there are potholes on the road or a road amidst the potholes”—Sule placed the responsibility firmly on the state leadership.
Addressing another local issue, Sule stated that Sharad Pawar has already discussed the arson incident at the Bhongavali solar power project site with the police administration to ensure the withdrawal of cases registered against local residents. Furthermore, commenting on political developments, Sule noted that discussions regarding the unification of the two NCP factions were considered when Ajit Pawar was present, but that chapter is now officially closed.
