Sanjay Bhise (Baramati Pune) : Following the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) meeting held in Baramati, MP Supriya Sule held a press conference and fiercely criticized the state government on various fronts. She took the government to task over several issues, including the Jal Jeevan Mission, smart meters, farmer loan waivers, law and order, the Missing Link project, heavy rain damages, and the Ayodhya controversy.

Claiming that there is widespread restlessness among citizens in Baramati regarding the Jal Jeevan Mission and smart meter schemes, Supriya Sule stated that according to some residents, development works are no longer progressing at the speed they used to. Furthermore, there is a growing concern among the public regarding rising crime rates. She announced that she would demand answers from the state government on all these issues within a week. Criticizing the farmer loan waiver scheme, she labeled it a “fake loan waiver” and accused the government of breaking the backbone of farmers who remain fiercely loyal to their land.

Demand for Probe into the Missing Link Project

Speaking on the ‘Missing Link’ project, she demanded an immediate investigation into the matter from the Chief Minister. Supriya Sule pointed out that the highly publicized project ground to a halt during the very first rain, leading to a complete traffic shutdown for nearly 18 hours. She insisted that accountability must be fixed on the contractors involved. Addressing the heavy rains and subsequent damages across the state, Sule mentioned that instead of playing politics, the government must accept its responsibility. She noted that since power has been in their hands for the past twelve years, blaming previous governments will not solve problems, and the government itself will have to answer to the public.

Fraud in the Name of Lord Ram is Unacceptable

Speaking about the Palkhi festival, she extended her best wishes to both Palkhis and praised the discipline of the Warkari sect. Meanwhile, addressing the allegations of corruption in Ayodhya, she made it clear that any form of corruption associated with the name of Lord Ram is completely unacceptable and those responsible must answer for it.

When asked whether the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) would be seen in power in the future, Sule stated that the party’s primary objective is to serve the common public. However, she emphasized that if the government continues to function in this manner, the NCP will fight with all its might to attain power while struggling for the rights of the people.
