PUNE : Hitting back at opponents over allegations linking him to the recent milk adulteration case, former Home Minister and incumbent MLA Dilip Walse Patil issued a strong video statement. He termed the allegations a well-planned political conspiracy aimed at tarnishing his image. Issuing an open challenge, Walse Patil declared that if his direct or indirect involvement in any illegal activity is proven, he will immediately retire from public life.

He clarified that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the police department are actively investigating the matter, emphasizing that there is no question of protecting any individual or organization violating the law. Warning his detractors against baseless statements, he stated that he would initiate criminal defamation proceedings if false accusations continue.

NCP (SP) Threatens Agitation Over Investigation Delays

Devdatta Nikam, Pune District President of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar), warned of intense public protests if authorities delay investigating the milk adulteration case or acting against those responsible.

Speaking at a press conference in Manchar, Nikam stressed that milk adulteration directly impacts public health. He demanded a fair, pressure-free investigation by law enforcement agencies, insisting that no culprits should be shielded and that strict punishment must be handed down to deter future offenses.
