Professor Dies by Suicide in Khed Taluka

Rajgurunagar: A 52-year-old professor from Hutatma Rajguru College ended his life by jumping into a well in Mandoshi village, Khed Taluka. The incident came to light late Friday night, December 26. The deceased has been identified as Bhanudas Motilal Pardeshi, a resident of Moshi, Haveli Taluka, who had served as a Biology professor at the college for the past 22 years.

According to police reports, Professor Pardeshi was last seen leaving the college campus on his motorcycle around 3:00 PM on Wednesday, December 24. After he went missing, a widespread search was conducted. The breakthrough occurred when his motorcycle and a black bag were found near the Bhairavnath Temple in Mandoshi, with his slippers located at the edge of a nearby well.

Khed Police, with the assistance of local villagers, conducted a search of the water and recovered Professor Pardeshi’s body at approximately 2:00 AM. Authorities are currently questioning family members to determine the motive behind the suicide.
