Pune: As part of the Cultural Outreach Programme jointly organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and the Infosys Foundation, a unique musical presentation titled “Jee Chahta Hai”, featuring songs on the harmonium along with Marathi poetry and literary narration, will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

The event will take place at the Sardar Mahadev Balwant Natu Auditorium, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune.

Renowned harmonium artist Sampada Khare-Deshpande will present the musical performances, while Prasad Shirgaonkar will present Marathi poetry, stories, and serve as the narrator. The programme will be accompanied by Advait Kulkarni on keyboard, Abhijit Jayade on tabla, and Atharva Kelkar on rhythm machine and Octapad.

This is the 299th programme in the Cultural Outreach series jointly presented by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan and the Infosys Foundation. Prof. Nandkumar Kakirde, Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, informed that the programme is open to all and admission is free.

The audience will have the opportunity to experience a delightful blend of popular Marathi and Hindi songs performed on the harmonium, along with Marathi poetry, storytelling, and soulful music, making it a memorable cultural evening.
