BARAMATI: With sufficient rainfall in the district, almost all dams are nearly full. Therefore, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar instructed officials to immediately fill all reservoirs and lakes in the taluka under the Janai-Shirsai scheme. She was speaking at the inauguration of the ‘Maharajaswa Samadhan Shivir’ held at Sharadchandra Pawar College of Engineering in Someshwar, Baramati.

Deputy CM Pawar stated that the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maharajaswa Samadhan Shivir’ will make revenue administration more transparent, dynamic, and citizen-centric. Through this campaign, thousands of women have been officially registered as ‘Women Farmers’.

A network of paved agricultural roads is being strengthened in the region at a cost of approximately ₹18.88 crore. A primary agricultural road was approved by consensus in Pansarewadi, providing permanent road access to 15 acres of farmland. Additionally, 100 more roads will be constructed under the Supa division. Under a 10-day action plan, the Baramati Revenue Department successfully executed initiatives such as land demarcation, updating maps and 7/12 extracts, and making minor minerals available for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and the construction of wells and houses.

Healthcare Facilities, Smart Villages, and Waste Management

Under the National Health Mission, a 30-bed ‘Critical Care Block’ has been approved for Baramati, offering major relief to critically ill patients. Out of 75 selected ‘Smart Villages’ across the state, a record 10 villages belong to Baramati. The Deputy Chief Minister urged the Someshwar Cooperative Sugar Factory to provide land for a solid waste management project and directed the Zilla Parishad to complete it immediately using Finance Commission funds or internal resources.

Donation for Waghalwadi Ashramshala

Senior entrepreneur R. N. Shinde donated ₹50 lakh for the Waghalwadi Ashramshala building and ₹25 lakh for the Gram Panchayat building, for which Sunetra Pawar expressed her gratitude. Zilla Parishad President Virdhaval Jagdale, Panchayat Samiti Chairman Kiran Taware, Someshwar Factory Chairman Purushottam Jagtap, along with several officials and citizens, were present on the occasion.
