Pune : In an era marked by changing weather patterns, hectic lifestyles, and poor dietary habits, a powerful message of physical fitness and health was delivered to children through a traditional Mallakhamb demonstration. The event, organized by the Shri Shivaji Kul Pune Scout Guide Open Troop, took place at the Pantasachiv Scout Playground in Sadashiv Peth and featured a breathtaking display of agility and strength.
During the program, children from the Swaroopwardhini organization performed a series of daring asanas and gymnastics on the Mallakhamb, captivating the audience with their skill. The gathering brought together current and former members of the organization, including Scouts, Guides, Cubs, Bulbuls, and Bunnies. A central part of the event was the traditional campfire, which holds significant importance in Scout education as part of nature stays and night camping.

As per tradition, the campfire began with a prayer to the fire, followed by a variety of cultural performances. The participants engaged in group singing, skits, and dramas, while also learning various rhythmic cheers and shouts that added to the high-energy atmosphere. While the group songs and traditional activities were well-received, the thrilling Mallakhamb performance by the Swaroopwardhini students remained the primary highlight of the evening, inspiring the young audience toward a more active and disciplined lifestyle.
