Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday announced the schedule for the long-delayed Municipal Corporation elections across the state.
State Election Commissioner Dinesh Waghmare declared the detailed program, ending the long wait for local body polls. According to the schedule, the counting of votes will take place on January 16.

- Nomination Period: December 23 to December 30
- Scrutiny of Applications: December 31
- Withdrawal of Candidature: January 2
- Final List & Symbol Allocation: January 3
- Polling Day: January 15, 2026
- Results/Counting Day: January 16, 2026
