Strict Action Against Loud Exhausts and Noise Pollution
Pune : In view of the Pune Municipal Corporation Election 2026, the Hadapsar Police took decisive action against individuals attempting to disturb public peace during the counting process at Sadhana Vidyalaya. Supporters and party workers accompanying some candidates were found creating a disturbance by using motorcycles with illegally modified silencers to produce loud and jarring noises. Additionally, they caused significant noise pollution by using prohibited horns, attempting to vitiate the atmosphere.
19 Vehicles Seized; Heavy Fines Imposed
Recognizing the gravity of the situation, police officers and personnel on duty intervened immediately. During the operation, a total of 19 motorcycles, including Bullets and Yamahas, were impounded. Under the Motor Vehicles Act, the police penalised the riders and recovered a total fine of ₹16,700. The Hadapsar Police issued a stern warning that illegal vehicle modifications, the use of shrill horns, or any act obstructing public peace will not be tolerated.
Police Vigilance and Leadership
The operation was carried out under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, and Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde. The successful drive was led by Police Sub-Inspector Hasan Mulani and his team, following instructions from Assistant Commissioner of Police Atulkumar Navgire and Senior Police Inspectors Sanjay Mogale and Nilesh Jagdale.
The team included Satyawan Mad, Deepak Kamble, Bhausaheb Khatke, Nilesh Kirche, Bapu Lonkar, and several other personnel. The administration has appealed to citizens to abide by the law and maintain peace throughout the electoral process.
